The Scan tab of SlingSync Preferences offers some settings for the file formats that SlingSync recognizes when it scans a disk.
Scanning a disk can be time-intensive, especially if you have a large disk. To speed scans up, you can de-select any file format types that you don't plan on watching with your SlingCatcher.
For example, if you're not interested in listening to music files on your SlingCatcher, you can de-select common audio file types such as MP3 Audio File, Windows Media Audio File, and M4a File. That'll cause SlingSync to skip these files while scanning the disk, saving time and keeping these skipped files off the scanned files list.
