My Media files don't seem to have any audio

Some reasons why you may not hear what your files are playing.
We are aware of an issue where you have video files that sound fine when played on your computer, but you only get the video (and no audio) when played on the SlingCatcher.
This can be seen with files that have audio sampling less than 32Khz and the SlingCatcher is set up to output digital audio using HDMI or SPDIF.
We are aware of the problem and will continue to work toward a resolution. But until we have it fixed, there are a few things you can do to work around the issue:
  • Use analog audio: If you use analog audio (the right and left RCA ports on the back of the SlingCatcher) for your audio output from the SlingCatcher, the audio for these files will work fine.
  • Re-encode the files: If you are a little geeky, you can try re-encoding the files to have a audio sample rate above 32Khz.
